Goverland Stage Stop rolls on at Kanapolis State Park. We are located 30 miles South of Salina, Kansas in Kanopolis State Park, the oldest State Park in Kansas.

We offer a variety of horse and related activities. There are varying lengths of trail rides through 26 miles of trails on the 22,000 acres of the Nature/Wildlife Park.

There are Stagecoach and covered wagon rides that can be scheduled, so that even the very young, or the very old or disabled family members and guest can enjoy the wildlife and scenery of the beautiful park.

Relax and enjoy the Wild West atmosphere amongst the stables, camp fires, wagon, coach and authentic replica of a Native America Teepee.

Instructions are briefly given with each ride, and lessons are available for those wishing to start or advance their riding skills.

Motels and Hotels are located nearby or one may camp at the full RV/CAMPER hookups or rough camping grounds in the State park all within 5 to 30 minutes of our riding stable.

Also available in the park, after your ride, is fishing, boating, or swimming at the beach of the 3000 acre lake.

Hiking and Mountain Biking trails are also available with a thrilling ATV track “ Just Down The Road”.

So Come Ride With Us…. See where your history was made and enjoy the most beautiful spot in Kansas.

Also, Hunting Rides into Wildlife Hunting Areas with “Special” permits will be available, in the fall of 2004.
