About Us

Having ridden for the big ranches of Oregon, South Dakota, and Arizona and being "out on the big trail" most of his adult life, Walt Gove has seen most of the world from horseback. Bronc Stomper and Horseshoer were his fortay in his younger years.

Father time has slowed him down some, and now, with 10 years experience running his own trail ride business, he and Doje Kosek enjoy showing their trail riding guest the quality horses they have raised, broken and trained for the trail ride adventure their guests so much enjoy. Yes, the back side of fifty, Walt and Doje still enjoy riding colts and the music of a nicker from a new born foal.

Doje has spent most of her adult life as a registered nurse caring for people and keeping her passion for horses as a pleasurable past time. Over the years, since her first horse in 1968, she has trail ridden, shown in horse shows, ridden the fox hunt and enjoyed giving lessons to start more generations into the wonderful world of horses and riding.

When Doje met Walt, their combined love of horses, knowledge and skill led to a wonderful business of raising and training their own horses for their own business of trail riding.

So come and enjoy the company of two devoted "horse people" that are dedicated to showing you the scenic beauty of "Horsethief Canyon" at the "Little Yellowstone of Kansas" in Kanopolis State Park, just 30 miles south of Salina, Kansas.

Great accommodations for your stay are close by or Camp'n ride (full -hook-ups available) in Kanopolis State Park.
